Liz grew up in Wyoming and earned her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University before attending Pepperdine University School of Law. She began her legal career at Metro Volunteer Lawyers, providing free civil legal aid to families in the Denver area who could not afford an attorney. She oversaw several programs providing pro bono assistance, focusing on family law and estate planning. This experience taught her the importance of giving back to the community and helping those in need.
A lifelong swimmer, Liz trains and competes with the Jefferson Aquatic Masters swim team in Arvada. She has won state and national championships in Masters swimming. She also plays violin in a bluegrass band with her husband and some local musician friends. When not swimming or playing music, she's usually pursuing her true passion - lounging on the couch with her cat.
